UEFA
The European Football Championship was one of the highlights of 2008 in Switzerland. Swisscom Broadcast AG played a key role in this major event. For 23 days, Swisscom Broadcast televised 31 matches without any interruptions and in impeccable quality. Up to 30 high definition and standard digital television signals were transmitted from the football stadiums in Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zurich to UEFA's International Broadcasting Center (IBC) in Vienna. Teleclub Sport
Swisscom Broadcast transmits video and audio signals from football and ice hockey stadiums for distribution by Teleclub to TV viewers at home.
European league matches are transmitted by satellite for the Teleclub sports programme.
Radio Berner Oberland AG
Broadcast transmits an audio signal from Radio Berner Oberland to one or more terminal points in Switzerland. Transmission is digital, using Swisscom Broadcast’s dedicated backbone.
The signal is encrypted via audio codec at Studio Radio BeO and is transmitted via the Broadcast Highway Backbone to the defined Destination Connects. At the Destination Connect, Cablecom Bern, the signal is accepted, decrypted and transmitted to Radio BeO.
Rouge FM
Swisscom Broadcast transmits the audio signal from Rouge FM to one or more terminal points within Switzerland. Transmission is digital using Swisscom Broadcast’s dedicated backbone. Rouge FM uses Swisscom Broadcast’s Destination Connect and Source Connect service. The signal is encrypted via Source Connect in the Rouge FM studios using audio codecs and then transmitted via the Broadcast Highway Backbone to the defined Destination Connects.
