The Climate Pioneers Initiative is looking for… climate pioneers! Participation is open to school classes at all levels - from kindergarten to sixth form. If you are a teacher who is interested in the initiative, myclimate offers you a free, thought-provoking lesson for your class. You and your pupils can experience an interactive and varied introduction to the subject of "Climate and energy" that is tailored specifically to each level. After the lesson, there will also be ideas for climate projects.
Climate Pioneers is an initiative from Swisscom, in collaboration with myclimate and Solar Impulse.

| 1. | I want to protect the climate! Find out about the Climate Pioneers Project on our website. |
| 2. | I'll start with a thought-provoking lesson* You are interested in the Climate Pioneers Project and download myclimate as a free, introductory lesson. Myclimate teaches your class about "Climate and energy" using experiments and visual materials and helps them to develop ideas for their own climate project. You will then receive the "Climate lessons for climate pioneers" teaching materials (only available in German), which is also free of charge. |
| 3. | I am going to plan and implement a climate project Your class plans its own climate pioneer project, completes it and then evaluates it. We give you access to useful materials that will help with the organisation of your project. |
| 4. | I am going to share my project with other interested parties You present your project on our website and, by doing so, help motivate other teachers to participate. Send us your photos and texts by mid-2011 and we'll put them on our website. Once that's done, you can then upload material yourself, including short films and audio recordings. |
| 5. | My involvement will be recognised All participating classes will receive an award from Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg. Participating classes will also be invited to take part in a project market with Solar Impulse. |
* If you wish to introduce your class to the topics of climate and energy yourself, without the help of the thought-provoking lesson, you can opt to receive just the "Climate lessons for climate pioneers" teaching materials (only available in German). You can then develop your own project and follow the procedure from step 3 onwards.
