Humans have communicated with each other since the dawn of time: we exchange information about our feelings, about life issues or about the weather. Communication is a basic need, in the same way as having something to eat and a roof over our heads. This need to exchange information has remained the same for thousands of years, it’s just the technical possibilities that have changed.
The teaching aid "Brief history of communication" sheds light on the political, social and economic factors which influence human communication. The result is an interesting historical overview from antiquity to modern times, which illustrates how communication has been transformed by the increased mobility of the population and technological advances. The teaching aid supplements the brochure “Hörst Du mich” (“Can you hear me”).
