Be a futurist! EUR 1000 each for 1000 sustainable ideas…

A joint initiative between dm-drogerie markt and the German UNESCO Commission called on young people to take action. The “1000 x 1000” project was aimed at encouraging ideas for the future that would contribute to sustainable development. All of the winning projects can be found at sei-ein-futurist.de. Teachers will find numerous lesson ideas on this page, for example the „Energy Detectives“.  The "Chat der Welten" (World chat) decade project has developed Internet-based tasks for students on renewable raw materials. Energy efficiency competition for schools

Regional energy companies in North Rhine-Westphalia  are aiming to encourage school children to be more aware about how they use energy in an effort to conserve resources.. Under the motto “Encourage people to join in”, school children from all age groups can take part in the RWE competition for schools “Pack’s an – gemeinsam geht’s schlauer” (Get involved – together we can do more) this year. The aim of the competition is to develop ideas on how to encourage as many people as possible in the simplest way possible to use energy sparingly.
