A company is only as good as its employees. It is therefore more important than ever that Swisscom regularly monitors the opinions of its workforce. The company achieved very positive results in the 2009 employee survey and improved in every area compared to the previous year.
As well as job satisfaction and commitment, those taking part in the survey were asked about the topics of change, career prospects, internal communication (information) and working environment. Participation in the employee survey was just under 70 per cent.
Overall, Swisscom employees are happy at work (79 out of 100 points), they believe that they have career prospects (71 out of 100 points) and they are also confident that the company is well equipped for future success (76 out of 100 points).
What are the consequences of the employee surveys? The annual findings are analysed within the individual teams, potential for improvement is identified and measures are implemented. "Less is more - but do it with passion" is the principle that applies here.
