Swisscom set to profit from the sale of MobilCom shares

Unisource, in which Swisscom, KPN (Netherlands) and Telia (Sweden) each have a holding of one third, today sold 3 million MobilCom shares, which corresponds to approximately 6.5% of the share capital, for 393 million. The shares were placed by Deutsche Bank after the close of trading on Tuesday at the Frankfurt stock exchange.

The sale of D-Plus to MobilCom AG, headquartered at Büdelsdorf in Germany, at the end of last year enabled Unisource to successfully conclude the sales process. In addition to a cash payment of DM 50 million, Unisource also received 3 million shares in MobilCom AG. With the placing of the shares, the sale of D-Plus has generated total revenues of 418 million, to which Swisscom is entitled to around CHF 223 million.
