Swisscom has reached agreement with the trade unions and employee associations concerning pay negotiations for the year 2001. The negotiated package is in line with salary trends in the industry and contains a general increase in basic salaries for employees covered from 1 January 2001 by Swisscom´s collective labour agreement (GAV). The package will add 1.4% to the payroll sum. A further 1.5% is to be made available for individual salary increases. The pay negotiations were the first to be conducted within the framework of the new GAV.
