1. How do I apply for a job at Swisscom?
Have you seen an interesting job advertised at Swisscom? Apply online at www.swisscom.com/jobs. When registering, please note that the password must be at least 8 characters long.

2. How does the online application system work?
First of all you need to register with the e-recruitment system by going to www.swisscom.com/jobs. You can then create a personal profile on the basis of the candidate profile with the help of the online guide. You can add to your details at any time. Creating your profile will take about 30 minutes. You will receive confirmation of your registration by e-mail.
Please send any attachments in PDF, Word or Excel format. The total size of your attachments must not exceed 5 MB. Please don't create a separate file for each supporting document. Combine your details into two or three files (e.g. CV, references, certificates etc).

3. Whom should I contact if I have more questions about applications or about a particular vacancy?

5. How can I attend a Swisscom taster day? And do I need to have been to one to apply for a job at Swisscom?
We recommend that you attend a half-day information event before you go on a taster day. You can register here for either or both events.
No, attending a taster day is not a precondition to applying for a job at Swisscom.

6. What are the employment conditions like for trainees?
We offer trainees a youth rail pass, which allows them to use public transport free of charge. They also get six weeks' annual leave and are entitled to a maximum of five days' training leave. And on top of that, they get a monthly bonus of up to CHF 50 towards their private telephone bills and a business mobile phone. They work a 40-hour week.

7. How long does the Swisscom trainee programme last?
The programme lasts twelve months - from 1 October to 30 September.

8. What are the submission deadlines for my application?

Recruitment is ongoing, but the last date for applications for the programme is 1 June of each year. We recommend that you send your application as early as possible.

9. What type of contract do the trainees receive?

The contract is limited to a period of twelve months. Berne is the place of work. Any other locations will depend on the trainee's area of activity.
