The Engadin Ski Marathon attracts around 12 000 cross-country enthusiasts to the starting line every year. When cross-country fans around the world follow the Ski Marathon on radio or television, the commentators speak to them over the Swisscom network. We broadcast the radio signal and television sound from the Engadin and support the Marathon as a telecoms partner.
Swisscom ensures that telephone services work at the event, that data transmission is successful, and that SMS and MMS messages are received.

Results service by SMS
The free-of-charge SMS Results Service sends intermediate times to mobile phones during the race, followed by the final result at its end. Times are recorded by a chip that participants receive with their start number. The service can be activated for a specific person on the Internet: www.engadin-skimarathon.ch --> Engadin Skimarathon --> SMS Service

Next event to be held: The 45th Engadin Ski Marathon will take place on 10 March 2013.
