Swisscom's corporate activities are based on environmental policy. This has six main areas:

> We minimise environmental risks and comply with legal requirements.
> We make targeted use of our operational environmental improvement potential and
thus continually improve the company’s environmental performance.
> We actively support suppliers and contractual partners in the promotion of environmentally-friendly products.
> We are involved in the development, implementation and marketing of environmentally-friendly services.
> We ensure that our employees have information and training about the environment and motivate them to adopt and environmentally-friendly attitude.
> We publish our environmental activities and results and thus promote credibility and customer confidence.

In accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001, an integral environmental process ensures that the interests of the environment as well as those of interest groups are evaluated and, if necessary, included in the internal environmental programme. A central environmental team draws up the projects and implements these together with the operational units.
