Swisscom's telephone exchanges work flat out without a break and need to be cooled. Mistral is a new, environmentally friendly ventilation system that cools our telephone exchanges with fresh outside air and discharges warm air to the outside. Each year the system enables us to save the energy equivalent of 9,000 households (45 million kilowatt hours) without the need for environmentally harmful refrigerants.
