Internet abroad

Internet abroad

You have various options of accessing the Internet abroad: your mobile phone or your own laptop.

Using your mobile phone to surf the Internet

If you are using your mobile phone abroad outside of the Swisscom mobile network, additional roaming charges will apply to your connections. These roaming charges will be added to your Swisscom bill on behalf of the foreign providers. Roaming charges also apply if you accept a phone call. There is no charge for receiving SMS abroad. Please refer to the fee and roaming information.

Accessing the Internet abroad using your own notebook

  • Over the mobile telephone network with Mobile Unlimited
  • Via Public Wireless LAN (hotspots)
  • Via your cable connection (fixed network)

You will need the following details to establish a cable Internet connection:

  • The dial-up number: 0041 44 451 06 33. If the telephone connection runs over a switchboard e.g. in a hotel), then you need to add a “0” and a “,” before the dial-up number. Example: 0, 0041 44 451 06 33.
  • The user name and password for the Internet access.

In addition to the Swisscom surf tariff, you will pay the connection costs from abroad to Switzerland for the duration of your Internet session. Find out about the charges incurred from your local fixed network provider.

Discuss your questions with other customers or look for fast and simple assistance for your Swisscom products.
