Change of number with Prepaid
Switch from another provider to Swisscom:
Buy a Swisscom Prepaid SIM card in a Swisscom Shop and request number porting at the same time. Please present a valid identification card (ID card, passport or residence permit) for the statutory registration.
Notify your existing provider via text message that the phone number is going to be transferred. To do so, send a free text message with YES to 499 using your existing SIM card.
This SMS command is the same for all providers and is required for transferring the number.
You will then be informed via text message when porting has been completed. Porting a phone number takes at least 6 working days. Once the phone number has been transferred successfully, you can replace your previous SIM card with your Swisscom SIM card.
Please note that any remaining credit on the old SIM card will expire after porting. Only remaining credit from M-Budget Mobile can be transferred.
