Decide on how you are going to control the DialoVox: as the chat host you can do this either over the internet or via your telephone keypad.

Invite to chat

Here you can invite friends to your DialoVox and send them the date and time as well as a 6-digit PIN by e-mail or SMS.

As the chat host, you dial a separate PIN that allows you to control the DialoVox using either your Internet browser or your telephone keypad. Further information can be found in the Instructions (PDF, 34 KB).

Control via Web browser

On the Internet you have full control over your DialoVox. Participants phone numbers are displayed - so you can see which participants have dialled in (prerequisite: phone numbers are not withheld).

When all the participants are connected, you can lock the DialoVox with the click of a mouse. This way uninvited participants cannot dial in.

You can also mute individual participants.

Control via phone

If you do not have Internet access, you can control your DialoVox over the telephone. Please note: the phone should be DTMF tone-enabled.
You have the following options:

• * 1 : Switch all participants to "mute" or back to "speak"
• * 3 : Lock/open DialoVox
• * 9 : Shut down DialoVox

How to control your DialoVox

If you use our service to invite participants via e-mail or SMS you can, as chat host, control the DialoVox over the Internet. You have full control. Simply logon before starting your conversation.

In the web browser you can then:

PIN - the key to your DialoVox.

Two 6-digit access codes (PIN) are used for the DialoVox.*

Participant’s PIN

Participants need this PIN to dial into your DialoVox.

Host PIN

As chat host, you can use this PIN to control your DialoVox using your Internet browser or telephone keypad.

Important points to note

Each PIN contains 6 digits. You can either choose your own PIN for the DialoVox or simply accept the PIN suggested by our random number generator. If YOU select your own PIN, YOU should avoid easy-to-guess number sequences such as 1-2-3-4-5-6 or 5-5-5-5-5-5. That way, you can ensure that only your friends can access your DialoVox.

* DialoVox can also be started at any time using only one PIN, which you decide on and inform your friends of. It is very convenient especially if you wish to talk to your friends on the spur of the moment. However, no control functions are available in this case.
