Unlocking your mobile phone
Your SIM card's personal PIN (Personal Identification Number) code prevents other people from using your mobile phone without your permission. The mobile phone can only be used by people who enter the code correctly.
How to unlock your mobile phone
Is your line locked because you have entered the PIN incorrectly?
- The SIM card is locked automatically after the third incorrect attempt to enter the PIN.
- In that case you need the PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) code to unlock your SIM card again.
- You receive the PIN code and the PUK code when you purchase your SIM card. If you have mislaid your PUK code, call our free Customer Services hotline on 0800 800 800.
- If Swisscom locks a SIM card, e.g. after a mobile phone is lost, it can only be unlocked again by Swisscom.
