Unwanted SMS/MMS subscriptions

Do you regularly receive ringtones or pictures which you have supposedly ordered? Is your Swisscom bill higher than usual? Perhaps you have started a subscription to a "premium rate service" without knowing it.

Premium-rate services can quickly be ordered

Subscriptions for SMS news updates, ringtones or mobile phone pictures can be ordered in next to no time. If you fail to read the small print in the advertisement or on the order page, you may think you are placing a one-off order, whereas you are actually taking out a subscription.
You may also unwittingly order a subscription when you type in your mobile phone number in a website in order to enter a game or a competition. You will only get to find out how much the subscription costs when you see your next Swisscom bill.
If you no longer wish to keep a subscription, you can cancel it.

How to cancel unwanted SMS subscriptions

Send a text message saying STOP ALL to the number which sent you the text or multimedia message. You will then generally receive a text message confirming that you have cancelled the subscription.
If you continue to receive unsolicited text or multimedia messages, you can identify the subscription provider using the following list of short numbers and write to it.
