Tips & tricks for moving

Moving is associated with many questions. We have summarised the most important ones for you.

Your (new) telephone number

If you move within the same dialling code zone (e.g. 031) you keep the telephone number you already have.

If you move to another dialling code zone (e.g. from 031 to 041), you will be given a new telephone number. Your old telephone number remains blocked for six months.

Resetting the COMBOX®

If you are given a new telephone number when you move and have been using the COMBOX® until now, the COMBOX® has to be reset at the new location.

Setting up the COMBOX®

Listen to your COMBOX® before moving – all existing messages will be deleted when it is reset.

Reactivating the barring set

Are you operating a barring set, i.e. are you blocking 0906 numbers, for example? If so, check whether the block is still functioning satisfactorily after your move:

  1. Lift the receiver.
  2. Press the * and # buttons, enter 33 and press the # button again.
  3. Wait until you hear "The service is activated" or "The service is deactivated". Hang up.
