You can decide whether you want to set up your Internet access yourself or whether an expert should do it for you.
You want to install your Internet access yourself? This is very easy – all the cables that you need are supplied when you order the router/modem.

Get an engineer to set up your Internet access. Home installation involves a specialist setting up Internet connection on a computer in your home

Service description

  • Installation of the router and a filter/splitter.
  • Internet connection configuration on one computer. Laptops and desktop computers with the following operating systems: Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Mac OS 10.2.3. (or later) are supported.
  • New customer registration for the subscription. Customers with an existing subscription, can use existing data (including e-mail address(es).
  • Setting up an e-mail address in an e-mail program (Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express).
  • Installation of "Quick Help", Swisscom's support software.

Installation hours

Installations will be carried out by appointment from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. and on Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

A installation by an engineer will cost:

Optional services

Not included in home installation are:

  • Laying cables, drilling holes Telephone sockets and moving ISDN-NT boxes etc.
Work which is not included will be agreed by the engineer and the customer during installation. The work carried out is at the discretion of the engineer. The work will be billed according to the time taken at CHF 140.-. per hour.

 

If requested, the engineer can also set up Internet connection on other computers in your home. This will however incur extra costs.
