Search with Google

Search with Google.

The following tips will help you when searching with Google. Have fun "googling".

Too many inaccurate search results

Enter more precise keywords – or more keywords. Example: "Hiking holidays Wallis" gives fewer – but more accurate – hits than "holidays Switzerland".

Too few search results

Enter more general – or fewer – keywords. Example: "Watchmaker pocketwatch Berne old town" is too narrowly defined. "Watchmaker Berne" would be better and would give you a greater selection of relevant hits.

Irrelevant search results

Use quotation marks (" ") to search for specific sequences of words. Example: "phoning abroad" gives search results with exactly this phrase on the Web page.
