Tips and Tricks.
Keep our tips in mind when you are travelling abroad and make calls without any problems even outside Switzerland.
Be well prepared
As a customer with a subscription, you should check prior to your departure how much prices will be and whether mobile services such as SMS and MMS are available at your destination. With Easy offers, it is advisable to check the direct dialling and top up your mobile.
Saving phone numbers
We recommend you save phone numbers in their international form, e.g.: +41311234567. Then you can make local and international calls easily.
Do not forget to take your mobile phone charger with you
Check whether you need an adapter at your destination to recharge your mobile phone battery. Do you have a network/electricity adapter for your recharger and can it also be used with 110 volts? If not, a car charger will tide you over.
Theft
If you lose your SIM card and/or your mobile phone, please contact our international 24 hour hotline from abroad +41 62 286 12 12 (hotline in Switzerland: 0800 55 64 64). Your SIM card can then be blocked in order to avoid misuse. You will require the IMEI number of your device for the police report (Recommendation: note down the 18-digit IMEI number of your mobile phone, which is usually found under the battery).
Blocking incoming connections
Blocking of all incoming connections (calls, SMS, MMS and COMBOX®) if you are registered on a foreign partner network:
- Activate : *351* PIN code # call button (green receiver)
- Deactivate: *351* PIN code # call button (green receiver)
- Query status: *# 351 # call button (green receiver)
Please note:
- If you are blocking for the first time, the PIN code is 0000.
- COMBOX® activation **21* (active immediately) cannot be activated at the same time as blocking *351*.
- If you require further information on blocking functions, please refer to the operating instructions for your mobile.
Calling Cards and toll-free numbers abroad
We do not recommend using Calling Cards as normal roaming charges arise as a result. It is not possible to call so-called toll-free numbers abroad.
Foreign network providers charge you the normal inland tariff for calls made to toll-free numbers.
