Desktop SMS to be discontinued.
The current versions of Microsoft Outlook are no longer compatible with the service, which is why we cannot guarantee that it will work without any problems.
In addition, customer demand for Desktop SMS has been continuously decreasing so that we will terminate the service as of 30 January 2012.
How to send SMS from your PC in the future
Of course you will still be able to send SMS from your PC with ease in the future. You have two options to do this.
- SMS Box
Send SMS through Swisscom Webmail with your fixed network connection. Continue to send your messages at a particular time and benefit from 30 free SMS per month with the Service Package Classic.
Prices per SMS: to Swiss mobile phone numbers CHF 0.10, to foreign mobile phone numbers CHF 0.20.

- eSMS
Swisscom partner Dolphin operates an alternative service without any additional software. Continue to send your messages through Microsoft Outlook. Price per SMS: CHF 0.20.
Outlook Mobile Service

When Desktop SMS is deactivated on 30 January 2012, all SMS to be sent at a particular time will be deleted automatically.
The SMS appointment reminder function is not available with SMS Box or eSMS.
