TV-Guide The Swisscom TV Guide is displayed directly on your TV screen and shows the programme guide for the next few days.

Picture in Picture This function makes zapping easier, by opening a small window in the current programme. This lets you see what is on the other channels at the same time, without having to miss what’s on the current channel.

Protection of minors This function lets you to prevent your children from watching unsuitable programmes.

Cost control You can define a monthly cost limit for programmes and videos that incur charges. Content that incurs charges is protected by a special Buy-PIN.

Internet connection (DSL)

In order to receive Swisscom TV, you require a DSL connection from Swisscom. If you do not have a DSL connection, you can order one right away with Swisscom TV. As soon as you have a DSL connection from Swisscom, you can give up any other cable connections – in future you can watch TV via the Internet line.

Swisscom TV works with all commercial TV sets that have either a SCART, S-video, composite or HDMI connection.

The following content and functions are NOT available to you with Swisscom TV basic:

  • HD content (channels and films for hire), all recording functions, and live pause.

     

  • With Swisscom TV basic, you can only install one TV box per connection. If you want to receive Swisscom TV plus on a second TV set, you can order an additional TV box for 10 CHF per month.

Self installation

Swisscom TV can be installed with a minimum of fuss. All the equipment and cables that you need for installation come free with the delivery.

Home installation by an engineer (one-off payment of CHF 290.-)

The following services are included in the home installation by an engineer:

  • Installation of a digital socket DSL, a modem (WLAN router) and the Swisscom TV box
  • Connection of the Swisscom TV box to a (nearby) home cinema or stereo system
  • Demonstration on operating Swisscom TV.

Connection kit

If the distance between your modem and the Swisscom TV box is too great or you do not want to lay a conventional network cable, we offer two optional alternative connections:

  • Optical connection kit (over cables)
  • Powerline connection kit (over mains supply)
  • Wireless connection kit
