As a Swiss-based company, the Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd Corporate Business area is committed to promoting Switzerland as a location. We support companies throughout their entire lifecycle and encourage their development and capacity for innovation, for example. Through partnerships with established companies, we support the Swiss Economic Forum, the Swiss SME Day, the Swiss Venture Club and the Swiss Innovation Forum. We also see ourselves as a “matchmaker” for business in Switzerland and promote networking platforms.

The Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) is the most important economic conference for innovative, future-oriented businessmen and women. The Swiss Economic Award, worth 75,000 Swiss francs, recognises the best start-up company each year and is the most important award for start-ups in Switzerland.

The Swiss Venture Club (SVC) is an independent, non-profit association of companies for companies that aims to support and promote SMEs as a driving force of the Swiss economy. The SVC establishes contacts and networking opportunities in seven economic regions for its members, of which there are more than 2,600.

The SVC is active in five areas and covers the whole of Switzerland:

  • SVC Prize for Entrepreneurship: recognises and publicises successful companies in Switzerland

  • SVC training: imparts knowledge and impetus for development

  • SVC finance: determines alternative financing options

  • SVC politics: works towards achieving ideal basic conditions for SMEs

  • SVC sport: establishes additional networking platforms in a relaxed environment

By SMEs for SMEs. This is the guiding principle of the Swiss SME Day, which examines and discusses current economic, political and scientific topics relevant to SMES each year in St. Gallen. Furthermore, the Swiss SME Day helps to promote networks within and between SMEs, associations and organisations.
