The operations centre of the Berne Cantonal Police is responsible for the rapid mobilisation of around 17,500 emergency services staff. When bottlenecks in the existing alarm system were detected during major incidents, the management began looking for a new solution.
With eAlarm emergency, the Cantonal Police now informs and mobilises the emergency services staff quickly and reliably. They can mobilise the groups stored in the system at the touch of a button – using the right text. As the recipients acknowledge the messages, the operations centre managers always have a clear picture of the personnel resources on site. The messages are given high-priority treatment on the Swisscom network with VoicePrio GSM and SMSprio.
Send 2,000 text messages per minute and, at the same time, alert 950 participants by phone: eAlarm emergency creates the required capacity for the operations centre, even during major incidents. Easy operation means that the error rate is minimal.
