With 350 employees, HIAG Handel AG is the timber merchant with the highest revenue in Switzerland. As in many other companies, the demands placed on its ICT infrastructure had grown and complexity had increased: an upgrade was unavoidable.
To define a solid strategy for modernising its ICT infrastructure, HIAG enlisted the help of a consulting specialist from Swisscom, who first thoroughly analysed the situation as it stood. In a second step, he pinpointed possible action areas and analysed trends for the ICT topics relevant for HIAG, and on the basis of this, drew up an ICT strategy for the company.
