RohrMax AGIn the fast lane with integrated fleet management

RohrMax is the Swiss market leader in domestic and commercial drain clearance. With its 100 vehicles, the company carries out approximately 70,000 jobs per year for private and business customers. Its on-call service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

RohrMax has equipped all its jetting vehicles with on-board computers, which communicate with head office via GPRS. Jobs and drain plans are transmitted directly to these vehicles. An integrated fleet management system optimises the scheduling and utilisation of jetting vehicles. Invoicing information is recorded on the job and transmitted to head office via the mobile phone network.

«Because we transmit jobs directly to our vehicles, we can get to our customers quickly in emergencies. The integrated fleet management system has helped us to significantly reduce the distance our vehicles travel. We’ve also been able to reduce the number of scheduling departments from twelve to three.» Eve Schmidt, CEO
