Swissgenetics are ensuring sustainable progress in cattle breeding with their services. In Switzerland, up to 4000 cows each day are inseminated with products from the company’s genetics programme. A mobile solution has accelerated the process considerably.

For the insemination technicians, Swisscom’s mobile data solution is much more up to date, flexible and customer-specific. They have access to exactly the data they need whilst on the move – and this data is updated daily. The information can be downloaded to their equipment in a straightforward manner or retrieved at short notice online. The order is recorded directly in the field and transmitted to the central system immediately.

Thanks to rapid mobile data transmission, delivery notes now arrive at the accounting department a day earlier. Previously, not all this data was available as it was processed regionally and not in a customer-specific manner. The decision to choose Swisscom as our partner was logical: Swisscom’s mobile network simply offers the best cover where the cows are.
