With around 480 employees at six sites, the company holds a leading national position in the wood, aluminium and plastic window frames sector, alongside façade and metal constructions and bathroom furniture. To remain up-to-date in the future, 4B has restructured its communications system.

Different models from various suppliers at the six sites, capacity bottlenecks. The 4B Group wanted to smooth out these problems with the old telephony system through radical restructuring. At the centre of the new solution is a powerful Alcatel hybrid system. As a result of implementing this system, not only switchboard communication processes become more efficient, yet also those in the area of production and field sales. Numerous applications could be integrated smoothly into the new system, including VoIP for internal calls. The latter also has favourable effects upon costs.

Thanks to the new telephony solution, things have become much easier now at the 4B Group. Precise analyses of charges, smooth transition of workplaces and centralised system maintenance are just a few of the many advantages. Swisscom has contributed a complete range of services to this successful solution, from LAN/WAN, access, mobile telephony and consulting, right through to project management.
