Data packages for use abroad

Our range includes two data packages for mobile data communications abroad. Data Travel 24 h (50 MB download within 24 hours) and Data Travel 30 days (200 MB download within 30 days) – both offers are easy to order when abroad via the Roaming Cockpit at http://drt.swisscom.ch. These packages can also be ordered several times over for additional data volumes.
 

Transparency for all Swisscom subscriptions

Complete transparency: We will be regularly texting all end users information about the data roaming costs they have accrued and the sizes of data packages they have already used abroad.

Each Swisscom connection (with a subscription) has a maximum cost limit for mobile data roaming use. Data usage is automatically deactivated when the cost limit is exceeded. For corporate business connections, maximum mobile data roaming is set to CHF 2,000 per month and connection as standard. The company’s fleet manager can change this limit.
 

Important

The data packages and the functions of the roaming cockpit including text messages and the entry of cost limits are currently not available to BlackBerry® and CAA/CNA services customers in combination with all Data Roaming rates and options. The same applies to customers with World Data Option Month. The existing pricing plans and functions apply for all the services and options mentioned here.

Once you have left Switzerland, enter the following link to the roaming cockpit in your browser http://drt.swisscom.ch. Then all you need do is order the data package you want. Access to the roaming cockpit is free of charge. We would recommend saving it in your Favorites.
 

An overview of the roaming cockpit
 

1. Real-time overview - data roaming costs accrued abroad and amount left before cost limit is reached.
2. Status information - data roaming activated or deactivated.
3. If you only want to use roaming data communication with the new Data Travel 24h or Data Travel 30 days data packages, you can activate this function.
4. Text notification - select the interval at which you want to be informed by text of your current accrued costs.
5. Security - you will receive a text once the monthly cost limit is reached. Data usage is then automatically discontinued. Maximum mobile data roaming is set to CHF 2,000 per month / connection as standard. The company’s fleet manager can change this limit.
