Swisscom is committed to promoting environmental and social standards among suppliers

Telecommunications companies have a responsibility towards the workers who produce their devices as well as towards their customers. They want to promote both improved working conditions and compliance with environmental standards. Seven European communications companies reinforced this at the “JAC CSR Forum”.

Free Internet access for guests in Migros restaurants

Swisscom is to equip over 180 Migros restaurants with wireless Internet by the middle of this year, allowing guests to surf the web free of charge for up to two hours. This will bring the total number of WLAN hotspots operated by Swisscom across Switzerland to around 1,700.

Special sustainability award for Logifleet’s clever and resource-saving solution

In September 2011, we awarded Logifleet AG a special sustainability award as part of the Swisscom Business Award. Logifleet impressed us and the expert jury with its “LogiFleet Report” solution which, to date, has allowed the company to save the annual consumption of around 3,800 cars.
