DualNet

Your requirements

When it comes to operating business-critical applications, it is vital that you have maximum network availability. The stability of your network is a key factor in your business operations. You would like to minimise the risks of an outage, while retaining the same level of service quality and improving your cost structure. However, this is difficult to achieve with two service providers, as many applications are firmly anchored in the network (ERP, VoIP and security) and this clearly increases outlay.

Our offer

With the new DualNet option for the LAN-I service, Swisscom ensures that the two network infrastructures involved are completely physically separate, as both the access and the backbone are separate, and thus designed redundantly. This gives you maximum redundancy from a single source – something that is only provided in Switzerland by Swisscom. You benefit from a service provided using two different platforms, which ensure availability even in the event of a complete disaster on the primary network. In terms of access, the solution is even more flexible, as connection variants can be modified to meet individual needs independently of the primary network. Moreover, DualNet also offers benefits in terms of costs, as working with just one provider means that the second network costs less.

The services at a glance

— 1 service provider means: maximum guaranteed availability from a single source with 1 contract, 1 invoice, 1 service level agreement, 1 contact person and 1 escalation process
— DualNet means: 2 independent and physically separated backbone and access networks, 2 monitoring centres (NOC) and 2 different router types used
— Optimum value for money
