Different
models from various suppliers at the six sites, capacity bottlenecks. The 4B Group wanted to smooth
out these problems with the old telephony system through radical restructuring. At the centre of the
new solution is a powerful Alcatel hybrid system. As a result of implementing this system, not only
switchboard communication processes become more efficient, yet also those in the area of production
and field sales. Numerous applications could be integrated smoothly into the new system, including VoIP
for internal calls. The latter also has favourable effects upon costs.
