Prepare your computer correctly so that the speed test delivers a reliable result.
To do this, follow these 4 steps:
- Update your computer
Check that your operating system and all programs have no outstanding updates.
- Close all programs
This will prevent any interference with the measurement. Close all running applications – including your antivirus program.
- Test with a network cable instead of Wi-Fi
Connect your computer directly to the Internet-Box. Turn off Wi-Fi on both the Internet-Box and your computer.
- Disconnect all other devices
Make sure that no other devices are connected to the Internet-Box.
