I am currently studying IT and working at Swisscom on my first AI projects. At home, we speak Albanian and I learn a great deal about my roots from my parents. For me, the two go hand in hand.
My family is originally from North Macedonia, but I grew up in Switzerland. Even
at high school, I had female friends from diverse backgrounds, so shifting between perspectives is normal for me.
A typical week involves three days at work and two-and-a-half days of study. The
bachelor’s degree course in IT with integrated practice is certainly intensive, but this combination of theory and practice is perfect for me. At Swisscom, I appreciate being able to try out different areas before deciding on my specific
focus. There are very few women on my degree course. It is therefore incredibly important to me to show other young women that this path is also open to them.
