When I first saw blue sky in China, I realised how quickly a country can change. Just a few years previously, everything was covered in smog; now, electric vehicles dominated the cityscape.
Twenty years ago, I lived and worked in China – and I’ve been monitoring the development of the economy and digital innovation there ever since as a trend scout. I’m still constantly impressed by the speed and open-mindedness with which people approach new ideas.
I’m extremely energetic – and contact with others energises me even further. Encounters inspire me, sharpen my perception and offer me early insight into where movement is possible. I love shaping change rather than waiting for complete clarity: the ideal solution often only comes to light part way along the journey. Management begins with trust, transparency and the courage to let people find their own way.
