Your application

1 / 3 Apply

Your online application is the first step on the road when you’re applying for an apprenticeship position at Swisscom – and it’s the most important one, too. Here’s your recipe for success:

First impressions count

Your application is the first impression we get of you – and your suitability for the role, not to mention your motivation to do the job. Make the most of this opportunity to stand out from the crowd.

Put your folder together with care so it looks tidy

Arrange the documents in a logical order and give them sensible titles. Illegible documents or documents that have been chopped off halfway will not work in your favour.

Make sure there aren’t any spelling mistakes

A flawless cover letter implies that you take a careful, conscientious approach to your work. So, have someone proofread your application for you.

Ensure you’re using the right file format

Ideally, upload your documents as a PDF of no more than 50 MB in size. We cannot open zipped file types (.zip / .pages / etc.) for reasons of data security.

Your motivation is what counts

Tell us why you are the perfect fit for Swisscom and why the career you are applying for is your dream job.

Send in just one application

Are you struggling to decide between two similar careers (e.g. Mediamatics and Interactive Media Design) or two specialist areas (e.g. IT)? If this is you, apply for one of the roles and let us know your thoughts in your cover letter.

Tell us about your motivation

Why do you want this apprenticeship position at our company? What makes you a good fit for the role? What do you know about the job and Swisscom? Your cover letter should answer these questions for us.

Show us what you can do

If you’re applying for an apprenticeship position as a mediamatics technician with a Federal VET Diploma, unleash your creative skills to full effect. Conversely, if you’re interested in taking on a commercial apprenticeship with a Federal VET Diploma, you’ll win us over with a professionally structured cover letter.

Only complete applications will be reviewed

Is your application really complete? Cast your eye over it one last time to make sure all the required documents are included before you send off your application. The completeness checklist can help you ensure that nothing is missing.

If you’ve sent us a complete application, we will get in touch within 15 days, at most, to let you know whether we’re interested in taking your application further, and if so, what happens next.

If we like your application, it’s time for the second step in the application process: the face-to-face interview. This might take the form of a brief online discussion so we can clarify any issues relating to your application. Alternatively, you might have a job interview straight away, either online or in person. If you’re interested in an apprenticeship position in a Swisscom Shop or call centre, this interview will be followed by a day of work experience in a Swisscom Shop or call centre. No matter whether it takes place online or in person, the first interview is your opportunity to persuade us that you’re the right person for your desired position – and that you’ve got the qualifications to do it.
