Swisscom is the national partner of the Solar Impulse project by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg. The aim: to fly around the world in an aircraft exclusively powered by solar energy. Swisscom has developed an energy-saving satellite communication solution for the aircraft in this unique project.
The main aim of the Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO) National Media Literacy Programme is to promote safe, age-appropriate, responsible use of digital media by children and minors. Parents, teachers and caregivers are supplied with targeted information, assistance and tips to provide children and minors with appropriate support. Swisscom is the main partner of the programme and coordinates its commitment in the area of media skills and youth media protection with the FSIO.
Swisscom is exhibition partner of the Umwelt Arena Switzerland in Spreitenbach, the competence centre for sustainability. In the Umwelt Arena visitors discover new Swisscom offerings on subjects like virtual mobility, the smart control of your home and heating system and recycling mobile phones.
The 'Energy and Climate Pioneers' initiative offers school classes the opportunity to conduct their own climate protection projects We jointly launched the initiative with Solar Impulse and myclimate. We feel it is important to show children and young people that they can also play an active part in protecting the climate.
