Portrait Urs Schaeppi

Urs Schaeppi has been Head of Swisscom (Switzerland) Ltd and Chief Executive Officer of Swisscom since 2013. He holds a degree in engineering from the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich and a degree in business administration from University of St. Gallen. His professional career began in research and development at Iveco, and in marketing at Ascom. He was also made Operations Manager at Papierfabrik Biberist. After the establishment of Swisscom, he joined the Mobile division as Head of Commercial Business in 1998. In 2006, he was appointed CEO of of Swisscom Solutions and soon afterwards became Head of the Enterprise Customers division. He serves on a number of economic and educational organisation governing bodies.
