Climate change scenarios
Temperatures are on the rise in Switzerland. In its climate scenarios, MeteoSchweiz predicts a rise of at least two degrees compared to the pre-Industrial Age even if greenhouse gas emissions are halved by 2050.

Scenario A predicts rising temperatures given a steady increase in greenhouse gases up to 2100.Scenario B also forecasts a rise with increasing emissions up to 2050, then a slight drop. In Scenario C emissions will be halved by 2050 and by the end of the century will have dropped to 1900 levels. Yet temperatures will still rise by 2 degrees.
