Facts & figures

CEO Urs Schaeppi

Swisscom has had an impressive first half-year with good market performance. We are continuing to grow in both revenue and EBITDA. Although non-recurring items contribute to this, even on an adjusted basis the increase in operating income is 2.7%. Price pressure led to a decline in revenue from telecom services in the Swiss core business, but this was more than compensated for by cost savings and growth in IT solutions, higher sales of smartphones and stronger business in Italy. Once again, the outstanding quality of our network and services has been confirmed by various test wins. While mobile phone use continues to increase sharply, expansion of the network remains blocked in many places, risking a data bottleneck. Our bundled offering inOne continues to soar in popularity, with a massive 80% of all broadband customers already using it. Fastweb in Italy is also still enjoying strong growth. The outlook for the fiscal year remains unchanged for net revenue and capital expenditure, while we have managed a further increase in terms of EBITDA.

“We had a strong second quarter and are again improving our outlook."
