CEO Urs Schaeppi

Swisscom has performed strongly in the first nine months of the year. Both revenue and EBITDA continue to grow. The increase amounts to 2.7% of operating income on a like-for-like basis. We have been able to offset the price-related decline in telecom services through efficiency improvement measures and growth in other areas. The latest test wins have confirmed the high quality of our network and services. There is resistance to the fibre-optic and mobile network expansion from the legislator. As the world’s most sustainable telco, we aim to be climate neutral across our entire value chain by 2025 and to work with our customers to make an additional 1 million t of CO2 savings per year. Fastweb in Italy continues to experience strong growth. Due to the review of the fibre-optic partnership with Salt and the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on revenue and investments, the financial outlook for 2021 has been adjusted slightly. However, the outlook for EBITDA remains unchanged.

“We are well on our way and aim to become completely carbon neutral by 2025."
