The employment relationship of a large majority of Swisscom"s employees in Switzerland will be governed by a collective labour agreement from 1 January 2001. Swisscom and the Communication, Transfair and CASC unions signed the three-year agreement on 10 July.
Swisscom staff will be employed under private law from 2001. The new terms of employment underline Swisscom´s status as a modern and attractive employer. The most important elements of the agreement are:
40-hour week with forward-looking work models (including extended flex time, annual work time, long-term account, sabbaticals, teleworking)
5 weeks holiday
Market-oriented salary that takes account of employees´ individual performance and the success of the company.
