Voice recognition function: direct connection to 111 directory enquiries

"Connect" - from now on, a single word is enough to be connected directly with the number you are looking for once it has been located. Mobile phone users can also add the word "SMS and have the number and address they are seeking sent to their mobile phone at once.
Jot down the number and then dial it? That´s a thing of the past! All Swisscom customers can now benefit from pioneering voice recognition technology used by the national and interna-tional enquiry services. All you have to do is to say "Connect" after a short information text, and the connection is made. This new service is also offered by the international enquiry services 115x and under 1145, the number for enquiries from the blind and visually impaired. It´s available round the clock, 365 days a year. The connection via the number 5 also continues to function.
Mobile phone users now also benefit from the possibility of having an SMS sent to them showing the telephone number and address - in the international format that is easy to save and can be dialled from any location. The customer is charged CHF 0.50 for this SMS. Again, it is simply necessary to say the word "SMS"; saying "Connect SMS or "both" is also possible. Shortly after the enquiry, the information requested is shown on the display of the mobile phone, and remains there as an SMS even if the connection cannot immediately be made because the number is occupied or cannot be reached. This means it´s not necessary to call 111 again.
This pioneering voice recognition technology will be efficiently introduced within further services in the near future.
