Swisscom at Computer Expo 2002 in Lausanne: Swisscom combines competencies in telecoms and IT

From 23 to 26 April 2002 Computer Expo 2002, the trade fair dedicated to information and communications technologies, will showcase the latest trends and developments in the fields of e-commerce, intranet, web-publishing, provisioning and online media. On Stand 1320 in Hall 13 Swisscom will present a comprehensive range of products and services covering the full spectrum of communications needs for business applications.
Swisscom Mobile will demonstrate how business users can access e-mails, calendars and to-do-lists while on the move. Another highlight will be the presentation of individual solutions for business customers: mobile-based applications aimed at generating sustained improvements in efficiency, greater proximity to customers and more flexible work processes for customers and partners. Swisscom Mobile will also be showing the latest innovations in mobile phone technology.
Swisscom Enterprise Solutions, Swisscom´s B2B provider, will present a range of IP-Plus Internet Services (IP-Plus® direct access , IP-Plus® light etc.). These services are based on the most extensively developed Internet infrastructure in Switzerland. A wide variety of access and service options provide the basis for customised Internet solutions.
New to Enterprise Solutions´ range of offerings are IT/telco solutions that cover IT management, professional services, system integration and customer relationship management.
Enterprise Solutions will also be showing offerings in the fields of networking and security: with products such as RemoteConnex® (for secure, remote access by SMEs to corporate intranet); OfficeConnex® (a national service enabling company-wide communication and connectivity of geographically dispersed locations); Remote Access Service (secure remote access to corporate intranet, allowing, for example, teleworking); or secure solutions such as SecurePoP® (complete solution for secure Internet access, with a dedicate firewall as the central component), RAS Encryption or CyberKey® (for secure network access).
Swisscom Fixnet offers a variety of solutions designed for SMEs: fixed network access including ADSL, Internet and hosting, terminals, communications systems, business numbers and data communications solutions. Two further highlights will be the launch of Swisscom Fixnet´s new standard tariff and the attractive new offering of free surfing hours.
On 1 March Bluewin also announced new prices: BroadWay ADSL 256, with a downstream speed of 256 kbit/s, now costs CHF 49 (instead of CHF 64) a month. And BroadWay ADSL 512, which is twice as fast, now costs CHF 79 (instead of CHF 94) a month.
