Two months of calls before paying

Customers who are to receive a bill every two months will be informed about the change in a detailed letter. Only customers with a small billing amount are affected by the change. They will receive their first two-month bill in November covering the months of September and October. Due to the large volume of customers concerned, the change will be introduced in two stages. The payment deadline of 30 days will remain the same. The alternative will be the monthly fixed network bill online (e-payment), which allows customers to settle their bills every month as well as having a daily overview of their telephone calls.


Protecting natural resources - donation to Leuk

The amount of paper that will be saved annually thanks to the reduction in the number of bills sent out equates to the amount of raw material provided by 2'500 trees. By saving this paper Swisscom Fixnet is making a contribution towards the protection of natural resources.
Swisscom Fixnet will be adding to this environmental commitment by making a donation to the value of 25'000 newly planted trees to the community of Leuk in the canton of Valais. Leuk was affected by a major forest fire in August 2003. Swisscom Fixnet's donation will contribute towards the restoration of the forests around Leuk that were destroyed by the fire.
