Cybernet brings around 800 resellers and over 20,000 business customers as part of the deal, although Cybernet will continue to manage these as an independent company on the market and will offer additional Swisscom services on top of its existing portfolio of products and solutions. The successful partnership programme will be developed and expanded further.
Thanks to the takeover, customers of both companies will benefit from an extended and mutually complementary range of voice, data and multimedia services. The first joint service to be offered will be Cybernet's Hosted Exchange service. Additional new mobile functions to be developed in collaboration with Swisscom Mobile will be presented at the Orbit-iEX trade fair, to be held in Zurich between 16 - 19 May 2006.
The Hosted Exchange service and the Push e-mail solution Smart Office from Swisscom Mobile are characterised by the fact that they support PDAs and mobile phones irrespective of the operating system used. The joint service enables automatic receipt and synchronisation of e-mails, calendars, contacts and tasks on either a PDA or a mobile phone. The basis for this is the Hosted Exchange environment, which offers all Outlook functions and a range of other options. With integrated mobile data volume and high compression, Hosted Exchange and Smart Office offer budget certainty.
