Swisscom regrets the National Council Committee decision
10 April 2006
Swisscom has taken note of the decision of the National Council's Committee on Transportation and Telecommunications not to support the proposal to dispose of the government's holding in Swisscom AG. Swisscom regrets this decision and hopes that the Swiss parliament will still find a majority solution. The complete or at least partial disposal of the government stake makes sense for the future development of Swisscom, particularly in view of the company's need to tap into new business areas both in Switzerland and abroad.
