The rapid growth in telecommunications and the broad range of offerings has also triggered an increase in the need for professional support in the installation and use of these products and services - regardless of the customers' age and technical affinity. Both beginners and IT pros use the services offered by the HomeServiceTeam. Christian Petit, Head of Residential Customers at Swisscom Switzerland, feels that the key to its success is personal contact with customers: "When experts are on site, they can better respond to customers' requests and the particular circumstances involved."
Appointments can be made by calling the hotline on 0800 800 800. The HomeServiceTeam's 80 experts are also on duty outside normal office hours which also makes the offer ideal for customers with full-time jobs. Service hours on weekdays are from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This service can even be used by non-Swisscom customers.
Since all standard services are offered at a fixed price, there are no unpleasant surprises for the customers when it comes to the price. In the case of individual orders, the price is agreed in advance with the customer. For a flat fee of CHF 249, for example, an expert will perform a security check and remove viruses, Trojan horses and other undesired programs. The expert will also check and optimise the computer and WLAN security settings and, at the customer's request, install a virus protection program.
Service packages start at CHF 179 including travelling time. The range of products and services also includes a variety of complete packages starting at CHF 999 which include a new laptop, software, delivery and installation.
