At the beginning of June 2009 Swisscom launches HTC Magic - the first Android-based mobile in Switzerland. The touchscreen mobile from HTC features the Android mobile platform, opening up the way to popular Google TM services. HTC Magic with NATEL liberty grande and 8 GB memory card costs CHF 149 in all Swisscom Shops and at Swisscom specialist dealers.
HTC Magic is the first mobile from Swisscom to feature the Android platform. It not only provides simple access to practical Google services such as Google web search, Google MapsTM and GMailTM, but also lets you personalise the device with various applications that can be downloaded from the Android Market. HTC Magic is operated from the 3.2" touchscreen. You can take videos and photos with the integrated 3.2-megapixel camera and mail them on the spot. Besides its EDGE and WLAN functions, the handset is HSPA-enabled, ensuring perfect mobile Internet use.
Google Search can be opened from the device's startpage, and a touch of a button opens up all other popular Google services. E-mails, calendar and contacts are automatically synchronised with the personal GMail account no matter whether the entries were made from a computer or the mobile. Google TalkTM features instant messaging and Google Maps brings route planners, city maps and much more to the GPS-enabled HTC Magic.
HTC Magic comes with the practical Liberty family Internet subscriptions (NATEL liberty piccolo, NATEL liberty mezzo, NATEL liberty grande and NATEL xtra-liberty mezzo). It costs CHF 149 with NATEL liberty grande. Price without subscription: CHF 799.
