Entris Banking and Swisscom IT Services/Comit have signed the contracts for the migration of around 50 banks to the new banking platform, Finnova, the application management and the operation of the platform, including output management. With this, Entris Banking and the Swisscom IT Services subsidiary Comit are realising what is currently the largest migration project in the Swiss banking sector.
Entris Banking will be in charge of the overall project on behalf of the RBA banks, involving around 3,500 end users. The project work, which began in July, is in full swing. Migration will take place in six groups. The pilot group will migrate before at the end of 2010, with the remaining banks following by the end of 2012 in a further five phases. IT infrastructure operation takes place in the highly secure data centres of Swisscom IT Services whilst application management is the responsibility of Comit.
Finnova, Comit and Entris Banking are currently developing a banking platform that is functional, economically attractive and cost-effective. Relevant modern banking services are defined in the agreement. These services will now be established within the framework of the project and made available to the banks.
